Slikour Opens Up About How He Started SlikourOnLife And The Hurdles He Endured. Skwatta Camp rapper Slikour also known as Siya Metane established an online channel named after him SlikourOnLife. In just a few years it has grown tremendously and Slikour has shared a little background of it.
Siya now identifies as more than just a rapper but an advocate and voice for SA Hip hop. SlikourOnLife covers a wide range of everything Hip hop, not just music but the fashion and more vocal side of it. It gives opportunities to rising stars and is focused on providing positive vibes.
The latest great news now are that four of the shows debuted on his online platform will air on TV at Channel O. The collaboration was a big deal for Slikour who expressed how hard it was to get where he is now.
“I really started this with my handheld phone 7 years ago not knowing where SlikourOnLife would go. Back then TV said im unpredictable,my music was banned at one stage, my honesty got me blackballed.
“Thanks to the teams that got this together, the custodians of the shows for trusting us and for @channelotv giving our flagship shows a look.As always a lot of work still needs to be done this is not the benchmark but a mark in our story and probably history for a South African independent online platform and satellite tv,” he wrote on an Instagram post.
